Joan, thank you for your kind words. It is my pleasure to share my decades of training with others. The magic of a Tai Chi or Qigong practice is not perfection. The practice IS the magic! The longer you practice, the more you realize you do not know!

I love your videos. I can re-watch and continue to practice. Your videos are very nicely done and easy to follow, unlike many others. Thank you for sharing your expertise and knowledge. I’m far from perfect but I feel relaxed and I’m loving this study.

That is what you have done, so disregard what those who criticise your performance/ teaching say and just pass on what you know. You do the form beautifully and as you mention, no matter how good we are, we are all still learning. There is no end to what we can do to improve. No doubt Master Cheng man Ching was always trying to improve even to the end.

Teri, I am excited to announce that recently (winter 2020) I was able to make Tai Chi and Qigong classes available online with video-on-demand style training! Thank you for your inquiry.

Check your lower limbs. They are moving all at once and your knees are collapsing. You have movement but lack chi.

Thank you.

Scott, thank you for your comment. I will be the first to offer that I am not “perfect” in my form. Tai Chi is a life-long pursuit of refinement, improvement, and self-awareness. I avoided publishing videos for years to avoid passing on possible imperfections in my form to others. My students begged me to begin posting video and constantly tell me how grateful they are to have them as a guide. It is progress over perfection. In my opinion, the goal of a Tai Chi practice is not perfection, the goal of a Tai Chi practice is to practice. With practice we strive to perfect our movements. If you were offended at my imperfection, that is OK. Tai Chi is based on the Tao. The Tao is based on nature. Things in nature are not perfect. I hope you find your perfection and a suitable teacher.

The form should be done all at the same speed (silk worm analogy), and ideally stay at the same level throughout the form as well. Kris seems to move slowly, and then speed up, then slow, then speed up.
